Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully. They explain how you may use Focuslyne, how optional payments and integrations work at a high level, and important limitations.
Last updated:
Nothing here changes how the product works today: it describes obligations and risks in connection with the features we offer (including optional booking payments and Stripe Connect where enabled).
1. Who we are
Focuslyne (“we”, “the Service”) is an online scheduling service based in Portugal. For any question about these Terms, contact info@focuslyne.com.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Focuslyne, you accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
3. What Focuslyne is
Focuslyne is an online scheduling and booking platform for professionals and small businesses, letting you create a public booking page, manage availability, receive bookings from your end clients, and send automatic confirmations.
4. Beta phase
Focuslyne is currently in a free Beta phase, with a limited number of accounts. During this phase:
- There are no end-client payments or subscription charges;
- Public bookings are confirmed by email verification, not by payment;
- Features may change, be added, or be removed without extended prior notice;
- We may limit, pause, or end Beta access at any time, including for capacity or stability reasons.
5. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide truthful information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity on your account.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Focuslyne for: unlawful activity; sending spam or misleading content to your clients; attempting unauthorised access to other users' accounts; or deliberately overloading the Service's infrastructure.
7. Content and data you provide
You retain ownership of the data you enter (services, availability, client data you collect). You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Relationship with your end clients
You are responsible for your relationship with clients who book through your public page, including the accuracy of the services/prices shown and compliance with any legal obligation applicable to your own business (invoicing, GDPR as controller of your own clients' data, etc.).
9. Intellectual property
Focuslyne, its code, design and brand belong to the Service's operator. You may not copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Service.
10. Service availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, especially during the Beta phase. There may be maintenance, temporary downtime, or changes without prior notice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Focuslyne is provided “as is”, without warranties. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or damages resulting from Service unavailability, data loss, or decisions made based on the Service.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, or end the Beta entirely, with reasonable prior notice where possible.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent Portuguese courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
